For the 10th release of SHIFT Digital Audio we present you our new V.A Compilation - WAVES Vol.1 featuring PVQ, Derek M, Krista, MB1 and Divak. 'WAVES' represents a refined and multifaceted showcase of SHIFT's trademark sound and highlights the label's dedication to the classic tenets of the techno genre.
PVQ makes his debut release featuring a dance floor dedicated track with stunning hard-hitting synths focusing on groove and tone to great effect.Made to increase the heat on the atmosphere, 'Different Spaces' by Derek M includes groovy techno kicks and a bass-line covered with big room synths.
Krista comes on board with 'Squared'. In equal parts hypnotic and intense delivers a sense of mystery and elegance that sets the vibe for WAVES Compilation. MB1's 'Bindings' a blend of rolling drums and overarching synths mixed with a heavy bass-line warps across its run time with effectiveness.
A tripping contribution by the Greek, Berlin-based artist Divak with heavy kicks, Sharp drums perfectly combined with percussive artistry in 'Operation 909', are pushing the energy with minimalistic aesthetic.

When was the last time you felt your feet lift off the ground? SHIFT Digital Audio is a pioneering music label that distributes techno music written and produced by emerging artists. We release music that fills the missing void in today's electronic music landscape, or as we call it, SHIFTed frequencies. The root of our concept stems from an idea that was born behind the scenes. As newcomers we were given a respectable amount of exposure in the foreground of the industry, and now our intentions are to complete that circle – by promoting new artists and always striving to further the evolution of techno. We will never neglect what’s happened in the past two decades, but our aim is to have one eye on the future so we can continue to drive the scene forward. Our catalogue will be updated with releases and podcasts from artists who are well versed on the virtues of our scene.
