Fer BR - Cut The Noise EP
Paco Osuna's record label, Mindshake, presents a stripped-back tech house EP by Fer BR that has undertones of jazz and funk.
Hailing from Spain, Fer BR is a Mindshake regular who has featured many solo tracks on the imprint, alongside numerous collaborations with Paco Osuna under their shared alias Project00.
An eclectic artist, Fer BR produces everything from deep tech to techno, and this four-track release has hypnotic drum patterns forming slick grooves. He is also a respected DJ who plays regularly in Ibiza and other prestigious locations across Europe.
The title track, "Cut the Noise" has a funky bassline underpinning upbeat percussion, trippy vocal textures, and saxophone flurries. "Dam Night" has a jazzy bass loop and stuttered vocal tones accompanied by hip hop-inspired vocal phrases. "A Night in Chicago" has a rolling groove with vocal stabs and organ chords bolstered by bursts of trumpet. "Broken Swing" closes the EP with its warping bassline and murky vocals, creating a trippy groove with shuffling percussion.
