Chris Di Perri feat. Simes - Big Nrg
Paco Osuna's record label, Mindshake welcomes the return of Chris Di Perri who delivers three funky tech house tracks.
This is Chris Di Perri's second time featuring on Mindshake, and all three tracks are trademark examples of his style, which combines chunky basslines with stripped back percussion.
Hailing from Germany, Chris Di Perri is an internationally respected DJ, who plays shows all over the globe. His music embodies his deep understanding of the dance floor, and his tracks are regularly played in Paco Osuna's DJ sets.
The title track, "Big Nrg" is a collaboration with Simes who is a German artist known for his percussive style of house, which has been releases by imprints such as Desolat.
"Big Nrg" gets things moving with upbeat rhythms and the namesake vocal sample combined with a rolling bassline. Next up, "Sucker" has a rubbery bassline that builds with swells of intensity, underpinning techy drums and hip hop-inspired vocal phrases. "Ice Clean" closes the release with a trippy groove utilising shuffling percussion and dramatic vocal bursts submerged in moody atmosphere.
