Julian Collazos - Carruseles EP
Paco Osuna’s record label, Mindshake presents a Latin influenced tech house release by Julian Collazos.
Julian Collazos is making his Mindshake debut following music on other prestigious record labels such as Moon Harbour Recordings, Circus Recordings and Hottrax. He also runs his own imprint called Duff Music, and this release showcases his trademark style, which combines upbeat and organic percussion with infectious basslines.
Originally from Columbia, but currently living in Malaga (Spain), Julian Collazos’ music captures the humid climates of his surroundings, and translates them into heat on the dancefloor. Not only is he a successful producer, but he is also a skilled DJ who has dazzled dancefloors across South America and Europe.
“Carruseles” is the EP’s title track, and it opens the release with a Latin piano loop and south American vocal bursts layered over feel-good tribal percussion. “Ritmo Caliente” is a trippy track with a rubbery acid bassline and an assortment of psychedelic sounds that are built around a framework of techy percussion. “Asi, Salsa” closes the release with jazzy piano bursts layered over an organic percussion loop, which lays a foundation for the tracks’ hypnotic groove.
