Prok & Fitch - Listen Up EP incl Fer BR and Jamie Coins Remixes
Paco Osuna's record label, Mindshake presents a stripped-back and percussive tech house EP by Prok & Fitch, which also includes upbeat remixes by Jamie Coins and Fer BR.
Prok & Fitch are a dynamic duo from Brighton (UK), and they are making their Mindshake debut following releases on some of house music's most prestigious record labels such as Relief, Hot Creations, Circus Recordings, Solid Grooves, Repopulate Mars and Sola. Not only have Prok & Fitch dropped numerous solo productions, they have also collaborated on numerous tracks with the likes of Mark Knight, Dosem and Green Velvet.
On remix duty, Spanish artist, Fer BR, is a Mindshake regular who has worked with other record labels ranging from Claude VonStroke's DIRTYBIRD to Richie Hawtin's Minus. Alongside his solo tracks, he has also collaborated with Paco Osuna under their shared alias, Project 00.
The second remix comes from Jamie Coins who is a Spanish artist from Barcelona, and he is back on Mindshake after releasing an EP via the imprint in 2024. He has also featured on other respected record labels such as Toolroom, VIVa LIMITED and Go Deeva.
"Listen Up" is the EP's title track, and it opens the release with shuffling percussion and hip-hop vocals layered over a rolling bassline. “Voices” is the second original track, and it fuses the soulful tones of trippy vocals with moody atmospherics and a chunky bassline.
Fer BR's remix of "Listen Up" chops up the vocal and adds new percussion, plus a jazz-infused trumpet sample. Jamie Coins' remix of "Listen Up" stays true to the original, but he restructures the track to create a streamlined version that's perfect for the dance floor.
