Mendo - I Like That EP
Paco Osuna's record label, Mindshake welcomes a party starting tech house EP by Mendo.
This is Mendo's first solo EP for Mindshake, following two collaborative releases on the imprint that were made in partnership with Angel Heredia. Each of the three tracks showcase his upbeat style, which fuses flowing percussion and rolling basslines with infectious vocals.
Mendo is one of Spain's most accomplished house music producers, and his music has been released by influential record labels such as Saved Records, Defected, Knee Deep In Sound, Circus Recordings, and his own imprint Clarisse Records.
Alongside being an accomplished producer, Mendo is also a revered DJ who has toured the world, playing headline shows everywhere from Australia to Mexico.
"I Like That" is the EP's title track, and it opens the release with it's fast-paced percussion and feel-good vocal, underpinned by a deep bassline. "Drink and then Repeat" is next up, and it's got tribal drums and a thickset bassline forming a foundation for seductive vocals. "Chakeup" closes the release with hip hop style vocals layered over high-velocity percussion.
