Paco Osuna's record label Mindshake welcomes a peak time techno release from Gary Beck, which also features a jackin' house remix from Paco Osuna and Fer BR.
Gary Beck is a Scottish artist known for his thundering techno tracks on labels ranging from Slam's Soma to Alan Fitzpatrick's We Are The Brave. He is also an internationally respected DJ who has played headline sets all over the world, and his innate knowledge of what works on the dance floor is directly translated into the infectious energy of his productions.
"The Piano Track" is the EP's lead track, and it's an upbeat techno track in Gary Beck's usual techno style, but the release also showcases his deeper side with a groovy house track titled "Take You Back".
Paco Osuna and Fer BR team up to remix Take You Back in the funk-fuelled style that has previously featured on Mindshake. They are also successful solo producers with Fer BR having worked with labels ranging from Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird to Adam Beyer's Truesoul, and Paco Osuna is a Spanish icon who has featured on many of electronic music's most influential record labels.
First up is "The Piano Track" that blends a honky-tonk piano sample with soulful vocal bursts and brutal techno percussion. "Take You Back" blends the shuffling rhythms of samba style percussion with hip hop vocal snippets and a funky bassline. Paco Osuna and Fer BR's remix of Take You Back tightens up the percussion and adds horn stabs, plus a flickering offbeat synth line that creates a jackin' energy.
