Angel Heredia, Mendo - Boys Rules EP
Mendo and Angel Heredia drop a new EP of groovy house music on Paco Osuna's record label Mindshake.
Angel Heredia and Mendo are both talented artists from the Spanish club scene who are returning to Mindshake following the success of their 2020 debut collaboration on the imprint.
Although this is only their second time collaborating, they are both successful solo artists. Mendo is well-known for his music on other record labels such as Circus Recordings, Saved Records and Elrow Music. Angel Heredia has showcased his sound on other imprints ranging from Toolroom to Great Stuff.
Both of the guys are also well-known for their DJ skills and they each play regularly across Europe and other parts of the world.
All four of the tracks on this release blend trippy atmosphere with flowing percussion and funk fuelled basslines to create stripped back grooves perfect for the dance floor.
'Another Magic' has a rolling bassline and acid tones combined with trippy vocals. 'Boys Rules' is a stripped back cut with rubbery synths and tribal rhythms. 'Makes Me' has deep pads and atmospheric vocal textures layered with flowing percussion. 'Succeed Myself' has a jackin' groove with psychedelic funk and upbeat energy.
