The Southern - Like This EP
Paco Osuna's record label Mindshake drops a new EP from Italian techno artist The Southern, who is well-known for having a dark and driving style with explosive energy and industrial textures.
This particular release opens with a groovy house track titled “Loop Like This”, then the following two tracks return to his usual hard-hitting techno style.
The Southern is making his debut on Mindshake following many top-selling releases on other record labels such as Truncate, Suara, Tronic, KD RAW and Odd Recordings.
“Loop Like This” opens the release with its funk-fuelled bassline, chunky percussion and hip hop inspired vocal sample, before the bleeping melody and fast-paced percussion of “I Get Deep” leads things down a techno path. “Ain” closes the release with its pounding kick drum and hypnotic groove that fuses acid synths with thrashing percussion.
